Hey, I’m Amber Badger.

I’m a multi-business owner, writer, podcaster, yoga teacher and former fundraiser. Most commonly found: nose deep in a book, watching Drag Race reruns or making shapes with aerial acrobatics.

OH...AND HEARTFELT, SOUL-DRIVEN WORDS ARE KIND OF MY JAM.

My Dad always told me that, one day, I’d end up working for myself. It’s safe to say that I didn’t expect this.

He would say it with an air of Del Boy - very wheeler dealer, very matter of fact. I always brushed it off. It wasn’t something that people like me did. I couldn’t imagine how on earth I would ever make a living not only out of words, but out of my own unique way of sharing and expressing them.

The truth is, I’ve been a writer for as long as I can remember. As a lil one, I would sit hidden away in my Nanny and Grandad’s attic room for hours on end. They were the only family members nearby me with a computer, and I would spend entire afternoons writing story after story, poem after poem in that oversized chair. Afterwards, I would print them out proudly, presenting them to my slightly biassed critics with a declaration that one day these stories would make me a real author.

Now, words are my career. It’s something that I still have to pinch myself about every morning. I studied the intricate layers of linguistics at University and then spent seven years creating impactful stories for charities and organisations around the world. Then, in 2019, I took the terrifying plunge into the world of running my own copywriting business.

And I’ve never looked back.

Here, I’ve found my calling.

Sprinkled wordy magic on 300+ brands from around the world

A decade working in communications with influential international non-profits

A compassionate and heartfelt writer who lives and breathes creativity

Conversational copywriting expert and soulful writing facilitator

WHY NON-PROFITS?

After graduating with an honours degree in English Language and Communications, I spent a good ol’ chunk of time working with epic non-profits such as Alzheimer’s Research UK, Welsh National Opera, Southampton Hospital Charity and Learning through Landscapes. This focus on purpose-led organisations matters to me in my business today: I want my words to do good, and so I want to work with people and organisations who genuinely want to do the same. It’s as simple as that!

Be a part of the story…

Enough about me. Let’s talk about you.

I truly believe that we will be a match made in heaven if:

  1. You understand the power of really good words and want them to form a core part of your non-profit

  2. You’re up for trying something a little different (oh hello inner rebel, I see you!)

  3. You want to work with someone who cares about your cause as much as you do

  4. You want to hand the reins over to a communications expert so that you can get back to doing what you love

So, does this sound like you?

Ready to connect?

Let’s have a natter.

I’d love to get to know you. You bring the coffee, I’ll bring the conversation.
